Dear Batch 845 mates,

A very tearful goodbye to all. Still remember the first day we arrived at STC? We were all so shy and helpless. We know nuts about the culture and were the junior of the junior in SIA. We had difficulties remembering each other names and we do nothing but singing praises of each other! Imagine that!

We been through the horrifying Foundation exams where we thought that its the end of our career with SIA. We tremble, we shiver, we cry and we sigh. Its our first exam in SIA and as if its not enough, its the toughest paper ever.

I received bad news from Adrian and he told me that half of our class failed including me! I was horrified and was definitely very very helpless! I nearly fainted until I heard Clarence told me that he was just kidding! At that point of time, I felt like kicking Adrian in his ass! *Haha!

Results were released the day after, some of the fortunate ones managed to pass while some unfortunatly, couldn't. Instead of sympatizing them, we empathize. We rendered all our help by doing revision and whatever we could just to help them pass the re-sit.

God bless! Everyone pass and moved on to the next stage.

B744 fleet training with Mr Richard Shotam was one of the most memorable module in STC. Still remember the first day he stepped in? We dun even dare to sit down and to us, he seems like God! We respect him, or should I use the word fear? He's famous for his "temper" and hence no one dares to defy him in class.

Bullshit!!! He's the silly sausage in class! I simply adore him! He tell us the best jokes and he go all the way just to help us! He nv abandoned us when we're in need and instead, he's always the first one to lend a helping hand! I can never ever forget that he actually remembers my birthday and is the one that initate a birthday song together with the whole class. I was really touched by his actions. From then onwards, I treat him like a friend and we talked about anything under the sun. Everyone says he's my God-Father! If only he's really my God-father! I wish!!

After 2 weeks of fleet training, we proceed to the next stage which is SEP, Safety & Emergency Procedures. Over there, I met another God-Father of mine, Mr Daniel Chua. I had second thoughts about him at first simply because he's kinda weird. But thats so not true!! He's such a fun and lovely friend! We click very well simply because we both have insurance background and he loves talking about investments and stocks which I enjoy too! He loves telling us onboard ghost stories and after that he will ask us, "How? Still wanna fly not? Later u *TOT*!"

Imagine a trainer telling u that! *Laughs! In unison, the whole class scream YES!!

After SEP, we went on to learn First Aid! Thats was the first time I did CPR! It was a very very interesting experience and I seriously hope I do not have to use this at all in my whole life! I will freak out! Haha!

After First Aid, we're all geared for our virgin flight!

There were mixed feelings of joy and sorrow as we do not know what to expect on our SNY flight? Will we get nasty crew? Will we get scolded? Will we be able to survive onboard? Thousands and millions of ??? in our head! Nevertheless, we gathered our courage, pack our bags and off we embark on the journey of mystery!

My first flight, SIN - HKG, SQ 2. One of the busiest flight. The most memorable flight ever.

I check in at Control Center and to my amazment, I realised that Mr. Richard Shotam, my God-father is flying with me! I nearly jump!! I called him immediately and he keep on laughing! That really make my day or should I say my flight!?!

We went onboard and he took really good care of us. A pity that we din go out for supper together but he actually bothered to inform me when he's about to leave HKG. Isn't that very very thoughtful of him? I mean how often do u get such a senior crew saying that to you? Moreover, he's a CTS!

After 2 flights, all of us went back to STC for reinforcement and B777 fleet training. We were taught by the wonderful Ms Josephine Ang and she helped us alot too!

A week later, we were already packing our bags for our 3rd and 4th flight! Needless to say, it was extremely fantastic! I had so much fun with the passengers and crew that I couldn't bear to leave them!

After our flight, we back to STC for further training and were busy preparing for our BIG DAY!

Batch 845 Graduation.

We rehearse almost everyday until the sky turns dark! Though there were some heated arguments here and there, it were all settled in a very short time. No matter what, we are still batch mates, there's definitely no hatred for anyone.

Time flies, without realising it, its finally the day for our Graduation, 06.09.05.

I woke up extremely early to prepare the food and my darling mum help me to cook some of the dish too! Thank you Jerry for picking me up early in the morning and Derek for helping me to carry the heavy stuffs.

We invited alot of guests and everyone turn up. I believe they enjoyed our musical judging from the amount of laughter from the audience. After the performance, the guests were invited to the mock-up for a round of refreshments and that is when I become famous overnight! *Haha!

I became the "Popiah Girl" As the name suggested, I made popiahs for everyone including our managers and they were really surprised that a young girl like me could actually cook and made popiah. Haha! They din know that my mum help also! HAha! *Claiming credit all for myself ya? Haha!

The managers even joked that they should introduce Popiah onboard and I can lead the team! Maybe not a bad idea after all ya? *Laughs!

I had so much fun just watching them savouring the popiah I made and many of them even requested to "take-away" some. Of cuz, I gladly obliged and was just too happy for words. Can u imagine the feeling of people appreciating the food that u painstakingly made? The sense of satisfaction is beyond words!

My parents were also enjoying all the food! Ever since young, I always want them to feel proud of me and finally I had fulfil my wish. How proud of me are they? I aint sure, but one thing I know for sure is they are extremely happy for me. They just couldn't stop beaming!

Its time to clear up after the guest leave and indeed, TEAMWORK could clearly been seen in Batch 845! Everyone helped to do the washing and wiping and within 10 mins, everything was cleared! As I'm in-charge of F&B, I'm supposed to do everything, but they were so helpful that I did no washing at all! I'm really very greatful.

Thank you my dears. I had learn alot from u all for the past 4 months and never can I forget Batch 845. We have been through thick and thin, overcome all kind of obstacles and had arrived at where we are today. We made our parents and trainers proud and of course not forgeting ownself. I own it to everyone in Batch 845 for what I am today and will definitely continue to improve myself.

Thank you all the trainers esp Mr Adrian Ee! Its nice having my boyfriend's brother in STC, cuz he nv fails to help me whenever I'm in trouble! Really appreciate all you have done for me! :)

Simgaporeans, u know what? I love u guys! The 6 of us braced through all insults and negative remarks and we had truly shown the spirit of Singaporeans and were always there for each other in times of need. No words can describe my feelings now and all I wanna say is, I appreciate everything you had done for me.

I'm gonna miss u guys and cross my fingers that we can meet each other onboard!

Batch 845, anyone can fly, but only the best can SOAR.

So, lets SOAR together to higher skies!

Cheers!
