I tear as i read the news.. Its really terrible.. We shld be glad that S'pore was not hit by the Tsunami.. Hence.. we must do our part!
I will also be doing my part by digging out edible food stuffs n medicine for them! My mum and i will be going down supermarts to buy too!
Will be sending it to the relief collection centers tomorrow.
Pls help if u can! They seriously need our help!
Death Toll had reached 68k! and its increasing everyday..
Below is a list of emergency items needed for the survivors of the recent disaster.
1. Tents
2. Food (Pre-cooked or ready-to-eat meal packs)
3. Water Purification Tablets
4. Wheat Flour, rice, other staples
5. Drugs: Paracetamol, anti-biotics, wound dressing, suture material,
disposable syringes, vitamins, and vaccinations for diarrhea, cholera and malaria.
6. Intravenous infusion (saline and dextrose)
7. Portable generators

For medium-sized and large donations, contact Sri Lankan Airlines at 62236353 and a staff member will make arrangements to collect items from your office either with their personal vehicles or with a logistics operator.

Starting from now till 2 Jan 2005,
Ananda Travel's branches in the Central Business District, Woodlands, and People's Park, will be used as collection centres for emergency relief supplies donations_for the tsunami victims across the region.
We hope that the added convenience of having drop-off points in various locations across Singapore will make it easier to appeal for donations. The address and opening hours of the branches are as follows.

The Singapore Red Cross requests donation for the affected countries. The money donated to this emergency appeal will be used to fund purchases and direct delivery of emergency items like medicine and first aid, food parcels and other relief supplies for the displaced and homeless victims.
The public can send their donations:
1) By cheque
Please address the cheque to "Singapore Red Cross Society" and indicate behind the cheque "Tidal Waves Asia". Include name, address and telephone number at the back of the cheque as a receipt will be sent to you.

2) Donors may wish to come personally to make a donation (either by cash or by cheque) at the Red Cross House, 15 Penang Lane between 9.00am to 5.30pm on weekdays and from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
