One of my beSt pals, [insert name] just gave me a calL.. she sounded hoarse.. seems like she had been crying.. i ask her wad actually happen.. she replied, "nothing, i just wanna catch up w you"
I dun believe.. I probe further and after much reluctancy, she gave in and told me the whole story..
She said her bOyfriend is going overseas.. I tot she's just being childish. why get upset over her bf's overseas triP? nah! there's more to it..
Her bf is going overseas regarding some family matters and the duration of the trip haPpens to fall in between her bIrthday which is thIs monTh.. after hearing that, I cursed myself for scolding her childish!! she feel so sad, upset and lost, I believe. though she nv said anything abt being sad, I can senSe it deepLy in her heaRt..
sHe said she dun bLame him for gOing overseas on that paRticuLar date bcox she understands that her bf ia a very doting son.. bUt she just dunNo why it falls on her birthDay.. she told me, "Wad is a birthday w/o ur love ones by ur side? its meaningless"
She even planNed manY many thIngs (nOt that she pLan, but she wiSh them to haPPen! ). mOreover iTs the 1st time theY spending her bIrthday together.. whO knOws wad miGht hapPen in tHe futUre, she jus waNt to treasure the pReseNt.. bUt alL theSe migHt noT coMe tRue..
I agreEd, but couLd onLy remaIn siLent jus in caSE I uPset her fuRther.. I tRied to place myseLf in her shOes and reaLised I wilL be equalLy sad as her or even woRse.. I tried to list down all kind of possibLe soLutions for her.
1. Bf to leave s'Pore earliEr n make it in time for her birthDay..
2. Bf to leave later, after her biRthday
3. Look oN the brigHter side of Life.
I believe she chose the 3rd opTion, bcoz the 1st and 2nd seems so unrealistic.. iF I weRe her, I wilL also be at a lost.. waD shLd I dO? I dunNo tOo. so whEn she asK me for mY opIniOn, I remaIned siLent..I do Not wiSh to gIve unneCessaRy comMents.
